Municipal Water Rate Increases in Massachusetts 2013 Volume 1

Well everyone spring has seemingly sprung here in New England. Here at Northeast Water Wells Inc we are constantly monitoring the News for Municipal Water rate hikes that will directly impact the end consumer. We wanted to share a few reports that caught our attention within the past few months. Currently 5 towns in Massachusetts have made news headlines for Municipal water rate increases this year ; Tewksbury, MA, Foxborough,MA, Hanover, MA, Upton, MA and Natick, MA. Tewksbury, MA is reporting a 6% rate increase to be implemented by 2014 now would be a great time to start considering a Drilled Water Well to avoid this increase along with future increases. If you live in Foxborough, MA you are also looking at a 6% increase to be implemented this fiscal year. The residents of Hanover, MA are facing a 5% increase across the board in regards to sewer and water rates this fiscal year. If you live in Upton, MA you are facing a staggering 9% increase after the board of Selectmen’s vote on March 22, 2013. The Residents of Natick, MA are looking at a moderately lower increase being reported at 3.5% this year in regards to municipal water rates.
