Irrigation Pumping Systems
The relationship between a water well and an irrigation system can be quite overwhelming to a homeowner. The Haynes family has 39 plus years of experience in the well and pumping business. You can trust that one of our qualified professionals will be there to guide you through this trying procedure with ease. Northeast Water Wells Inc. does not install the actual sprinkler system, however we are able to work with your current irrigation company or give a referral for a qualified irrigation specialist in you area. Our pumping specialists work hand and hand with the irrigation specialist to ensure that your system will be compatible with your well and pump, and that upon completion your irrigation system will perform at its best. There are many different aspects that come into play when designing a pumping system for irrigation use. The ideal situation is having a high producing well, however that is not always the case. Northeast Water Wells likes to have a minimum of 15 GPM (gallons per minute) for irrigation wells if at all possible. Please note however that there are several options available for increased flow if needed such as; Hydro fracture, Zone Hydro fracture, and Well Deepening. If you are contemplating trying to use your current residential well for residential and irrigation purposes, than the following things need to be considered. Due to the fact that a standard residential pump is typically not able to meet the new flow requirements, a pump upgrade may need to be considered depending on the systems individual needs. As the water level in the well drops, you get less flow and pressure; in order to compensate these changes in the well a larger pump may be required to keep up the desired pressure and flow. Please note however; that many wells are not capable of a large volume flow and this would need to be factored into the irrigation system design. A water quantity flow test is used to determine the wells current GPM, which helps the specialist decipher what your current system may be able to handle. Depending on the wells capacity and water requirements the specialist uses the gathered information to create the ideal system for your families specific need. Please be aware that this is just a small percentage of the information necessary in running an irrigation system from an water well. Northeast Water Wells treats each case on an individual basis.
